Caves of Lilith

In case you haven’t heard lately, the Susan G. Komen Foundation has cut its funding of free cancer screenings from Planned Parenthood.  By putting politics ahead of lives, the Komen Foundation has gone directly against its own purpose and message and has committed the worst kind of hypocrisy: the kind that puts the lives of vulnerable low-income women in jeopardy.  As someone with a strong family history of cancer who could very easily come to depend on the free screenings offered by Planned Parenthood, I find this action disgusting and deeply shameful.  While the Komen Foundation once may have been an upstanding women’s health organization, its ethics seem to have fallen to the wayside and until it works to once again become an organization worthy of support, I ask my followers to not buy anything swathed in its ubiquitous (and often meaningless) pink ribbons, and to please donate to Planned Parenthood, The American Cancer Society, or any other genuinely pro-life organization.
(for further reading on the subject, I highly recommend this)
